The Old Mawuli School Union (OMSU) is the official alumni association of Mawuli School in Ho, Ghana, dedicated to sustaining the spirit and values of our alma mater long after graduation. We bring together thousands of past students across the globe, creating a vibrant community for networking, mentorship, professional growth, and lifelong friendship. Success StoriesCelebrating the remarkable journeys of Mawuli alumni who excel in business, science, public service, and the arts—proving that the Mawuli spirit creates leaders without borders.

Dr. George Ofori-Dwumfuo attended Mawuli School, Ho, for seven years as a science student. His time at Mawuli laid a strong foundation for his academic and professional success. After Mawuli, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 1976. He then pursued further studies at the University of Aston in Birmingham, UK, where he obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1982. His career includes roles such as Deputy CEO and Board Member at DEL International Hospital Limited, which he helped incorporate in 2011 alongside colleagues to contribute to the quality of life and healthcare delivery in Ghana. He has also demonstrated entrepreneurial skills through other ventures such as All Day Forex Bureau Limited and the importation and wholesaling of various goods. Dr. Ofori-Dwumfuo’s success story reflects a notable progression from solid academic grounding at Mawuli School to significant contributions in business, healthcare, and technology Mawuli School itself is known for producing distinguished alumni committed to leadership, integrity, and service, with a strong emphasis on discipline and academic excellence that evidently impacted Dr. Ofori-Dwumfuo’s success trajectory.

Dr. George OforiExecutive Council Member

H.E. Ben Dotsei Malor is a distinguished Ghanaian broadcaster, journalist, and diplomat. He studied mathematics, statistics, and computer science at the University of Ghana but eventually pursued a career in journalism. He spent over 12 years at the BBC World Service in London, where he was a well-known presenter and editor. In Ghana, Ben Dotsei Malor served as the Presidential Spokesperson and Director of Communications during former President John Mahama’s administration. He also held significant roles within the United Nations, including Chief of Communication and Public Information at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) and spokesperson roles in Liberia and Pakistan for UN missions. In 2025, he was appointed as the Deputy Ambassador of Ghana to the United States of America, marking an important role in Ghana’s diplomatic corps to enhance bilateral relations. His career emphasizes the power of passion and communication in transforming vocations and public engagement.

Hon. Kofi Attor’s journey from Mawuli School to his current stature is a story of dedication, education, and public service. He attended Mawuli School, where he built a strong academic foundation that propelled him through higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana and further advanced his studies with a master's degree in Art and Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, Netherlands. His education equipped him with the knowledge and skills to serve effectively in various capacities. He entered politics as a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and was elected to represent the Ho Central constituency in Ghana’s Parliament during the Fourth Republic. He served as a parliamentarian from 1993 until 2005, taking part in critical legislative decisions and governance. Beyond Parliament, Hon. Attor contributed to Ghana’s development through leadership roles such as Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), focusing on expanding electronic communication access across Ghana. His expertise also saw him work closely with parliamentary leadership, including advisory roles in the Speaker’s Secretariat, where he continues to influence governance and policy implementation. Hon. Kofi Attor’s success story embodies the transformative power of education from Mawuli School through to distinguished national leadership roles in politics and public administration, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to serving his community and country.
