Special Advicer to the Speaker of ParliamentHon. Kofi Attor’s journey from Mawuli School to his current stature is a story of dedication, education, and public service. He attended Mawuli School, where he built a strong academic foundation that propelled him through higher education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana and further advanced his studies with a master's degree in Art and Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, Netherlands.
His education equipped him with the knowledge and skills to serve effectively in various capacities. He entered politics as a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and was elected to represent the Ho Central constituency in Ghana’s Parliament during the Fourth Republic. He served as a parliamentarian from 1993 until 2005, taking part in critical legislative decisions and governance.
Beyond Parliament, Hon. Attor contributed to Ghana’s development through leadership roles such as Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), focusing on expanding electronic communication access across Ghana. His expertise also saw him work closely with parliamentary leadership, including advisory roles in the Speaker’s Secretariat, where he continues to influence governance and policy implementation.
